Accompanying the image was a concise statement: “Seamlessly switch between WhatsApp accounts: You’ll soon be able to manage two WhatsApp accounts on the same device, all within the app”.

On one hand, this innovation saves individuals who must carry two phones for work considerable expenses. On the other hand, it simplifies managing one’s dual roles on a single device.
No longer will you have to remember two chargers, hunt for extra power outlets, or carry two separate phones. In the upcoming weeks, such inconveniences will become a thing of the past. Switching between private and professional use will be as straightforward as selecting your desired profile within the WhatsApp application. This will also prevent unintentional message deliveries, ambiguous forwarding, and duplicated conversations.

Until now, having two WhatsApp numbers on the same smartphone was only feasible by having one WhatsApp account associated with the primary number and a WhatsApp Business account linked to the secondary one, or by using a dual SIM smartphone.

To activate this new feature, you’ll naturally require a second phone number. According to the platform’s guidance, to enable this feature, open WhatsApp and navigate to “Settings.” Then, click the arrow adjacent to your account name and select “Add Account.”
